June 29th, 2013
Chronic Migraine Awareness Day
See the CMA DAY 2013 flyer here

This year marks the second annual Chronic Migraine Awareness Day, on June 29th. Migraine is a neurological disease, and chronic migraine is defined as having 15 or more headache days per month, 8 of which much fulfill the qualification for migraine. Many of us deal with pain and other symptoms such as light and sound sensitivity, nausea, and vomiting on a daily basis. We are trying to raise awareness of how this disease affects our lives and the lives of our loved ones.

Our ribbon colors are purple and red. Purple stands for chronic pain and the comorbid (related) medical conditions that many with migraines also suffer, and the red signifies how deeply we are affected by it. Please show your support by wearing these colors or one of our ribbons or T-shirts (to order, email us). You can post pictures of yourself wearing red and purple on our facebook page or email them and we will post. We encourage you to use social media to help spread the word. Also, we have provided a poster with some migraine stats and facts for you to post at your home, office, school, or personal social media page.

Check by our website and facebook page for stories, posters, and other info on migraines throughout the month of June. Thank you for showing your support!
